Alyssa M Hughes RN, MSN, MBA, CEN, OCN

Alyssa Hughes is the nurse manager at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is a certified Emergency Nurse and Oncology Certified Nurse. She graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing and Masters of Business Administration in April of 2023 from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is passionate about emergency nursing, specifically sepsis in cancer patients and improving resuscitation efforts in the emergency department. Alyssa is a Bronze Excellence in Nursing Award recipient and took part in the successful Lantern Award application at MD Anderson in 2024. Alyssa is currently in school for her Doctor of Nursing Practice - Nurse Executive at the University of Texas Cizik School of Nursing and will graduate in June of 2026.
