With 26 years of experience in nursing, Dr. Anthony Filippelli has built a distinguished career across clinical practice, leadership, and academia. Holding three national certifications, including one as an Emergency Department nurse and two in nursing executive leadership, Dr. Filippelli brings a wealth of expertise to patient care, the management of healthcare, and nursing education. Clinically, Dr. Filippelli has dedicated much of his practice to the environment of the ED. In addition to a robust clinical background, Dr. Filippelli has excelled in nursing leadership, holding various positions where he led teams and influenced healthcare strategies. Dr. Filippelli is a full-time nursing professor at Rutgers University, where he combines his extensive practical experience with a passion for shaping the next generation of nurses. Dr. Filippelli's research interests reflect a deep commitment to advancing the nursing profession. His work focuses on key areas such as sepsis, simulation-based learning, nursing education, and the complexities of ED nursing. Through his research and teaching, Dr. Filippelli continues to contribute to innovations in healthcare, particularly in emergency care and nurse education.
