Bethany Van Baak BSN, RN

Bethany Van Baak is an emergency nurse with 2 years of experience at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA. Bethany focused her undergraduate studies on racial health inequities. As a new grad, she worked closely with her alma mater to publish a JOGNN article titled, "Essential Nursing Actions to Reduce Inequities for Black Women in the Perinatal Period." Inspired by the intersection of emergency nursing and maternal health outcomes, Bethany presented her work for the first time at the Northwest Emergency Nursing Symposium 2024. She is honored to continue addressing racial health inequities on the national level.
