Bill Schueler is currently a nursing leader in healthcare violence prevention. His experience includes being the violence prevention clinical nurse educator for Legacy Health in Oregon. He's one of the first nurses in the nation to be certified as a Workplace Violence and Threat Specialist and has contributed to violence prevention chapters in two professional books that will be published in 2019. Bill is very active in violence prevention; from health system committees to grassroots social media movements, to the pursuit of state and federal legislative policy. He's the current Government Relations chairperson for the Oregon ENA State Council and works as a Patient Safety Specialist for the Providence St. Joseph Health System in Oregon. He is also a practicing 4th-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
