Brian has spent the majority of his career working in Southern California major acute care hospitals, trauma centers and academic University medical centers. He spent his time as a flight nurse in the southwestern United States. Brian is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, contracting to attorneys with a primary focus on malpractice cases as a consulting expert for both plaintiff and defense. Brian is also a testifying expert witness in emergency, critical care and pre-hospital cases. He speaks on traumatic stress to nursing and provider groups, first responders and Law Enforcement. He speaks to the leadership of these groups on recognition of stress and resource options for their staff. He is a content expert for the Air Medical Journal for PTSD, moral injury, traumatic stress and burnout. He authored the book “Silent Trauma: The Side of Healthcare We Just Don’t Talk About”. Brian continues to work in Critical Care Transport. He resides in Kanab, Utah and enjoys being a grandad and spending time with his family, playing the guitar and getting a little mud on the tires of his Jeep.
