Gregory Eichelzer, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CEN is a dynamic healthcare innovation leader and the Nursing Innovation Administrator at the Geri and Richard Brawerman Nursing Institute at Cedars-Sinai. With over 17 years of nursing experience spanning roles from Staff ED RN to Educator to Associate Director, Gregory has cultivated a career defined by a commitment to advancing nursing practice and fostering innovation at the bedside. He is a Yale School of Nursing-prepared Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a proud recipient of the Cedars-Sinai 2024 Zifkin Nurse of the Year Award.
A dedicated champion of frontline nurses, Gregory bridges the gap between clinical expertise and systemic innovation. He spearheads initiatives that elevate the voice of nursing, such as the Nursing Ideation Station platform, which empowers nurses to bring their ideas to fruition. Gregory’s efforts have resulted in the establishment of infrastructures supporting nursing innovation within multi-Magnet-designated medical centers, guiding projects from ideation to implementation and commercialization.
Gregory’s leadership extends beyond the bedside to national and international platforms. As an ACNL Scholar, he has contributed significantly to advancing healthcare leadership. His recent work includes leading the Cedars-Sinai team to become finalists in the NurseHack4Health Pitchathon and presenting at professional forums such as AONL, where he advocates for leveraging digital technology to enhance nursing leadership and innovation.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gregory is known for his creative pursuits, including singing, and playing the piano. Residing in West Hollywood, he combines his personal passions with his professional endeavors to bring a holistic and humanistic approach to his work.
