Laci Smith MSN, RN, CPN, SANE-A, SANE-P

Laci is a Forensic Nursing Specialist at the International Association of Forensic Nurses. She is a certified Pediatric nurse with almost a decade of experience in various settings such as pediatric inpatient acute care, community based sexual assault and child advocacy centers, and in the academic setting. Laci has developed and led multidisciplinary simulation programs in the clinical and academic settings, as well as developing and teaching curricula in Associate and Baccalaureate degree nursing programs. Laci holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southwestern State University. She is a practicing Forensic Nurse at The Lighthouse Children’s Advocacy Center, a TeleSANE Expert Consultant at the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth Center, and a Forensic Nurse Educator for the Southeastern Alliance for Forensic Excellence Network. Laci is passionate about providing trauma informed and inclusive care to all patients.
