Ms. Madelyn Mercer BSN, RN, CN III, SANE

Maddy is a dedicated and newly SANE trained nurse with 3 ½ years' experience. After graduating, she jumped straight into the emergency department. Her passion for emergency nursing extends to her role as a pediatric champion in the ER, where she collaborates closely with the team to conduct realistic simulations for nurses, enhancing team readiness. She contributes significantly to the Duke University Hospital system, focusing on pediatric and trauma care while mentoring new graduates and experienced nurses. Maddy is excited about the future and the endless opportunities that nursing offers for growth, learning, and patient care.
