Mary Alice Vanhoy, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, NRP, FAEN is active in Emergency Nurse, EMS provider and educator for over 35 years, Currently, she is a Manager of an Emergency Department and Freestanding Emergency Department in Maryland. While she may be a manager, she enjoys providing stretcher side care and speaking to professional and community groups. In addition to emergency nursing, she was appointed by the governor to represent nurses on the EMS Board and provides care to her community as a volunteer paramedic. She serves as faculty for local, state and national conferences in nursing and EMS while also services as faculty for Chesapeake College, TNCC, ENPC, ITLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, Basic and Advanced Disaster Life Support and multiple clinical and management continuing education programs.
Mary Alice's ENA activities include various chapter and state officer positions, member of the Academy of Emergency Nursing and multiple committees and work-groups including currently, Clinical Practice Guideline with previous membership in multiple state and national committees/work-groups.
