Monica Escalante-Kolbuk, MSN, RN, CEN, is the Director of Novice Nurse Education
Programs at the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and an emergency nurse with nearly 20
years of experience. She oversees ENA's Emergency Nurse Residency Program (ENRP) and
novice nurse education. As Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS), member of the American College of
Emergency Physician’s (ACEP) Epidemic Expert Panel, and educator, Monica is committed to
advancing emergency nursing practice. With a Master of Science in Nursing and a Certified
Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential, Monica brings extensive clinical expertise and a passion for
supporting new graduate and transition nurses to emergency nursing. She is dedicated to
empowering nurses through education, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity in patient
care, and advocating for the professional development of emergency nurses.
