Nicole Riemer (pronounced Ree-mer) serves as the System Educator for the Emergency Department at Froedtert Health in Southeastern Wisconsin. In her role, she assists with emergency department education initiatives and is the program director for Emergency Nurse Residency and Fellowship Programs. Froedtert Health is a regional health system that includes Level I trauma center and six community-based emergency departments throughout southeastern WI. The Level I trauma center alone cares for approximately 80,000 patients annually.
With more than 18 years of experience in emergency nursing and education, Nicole spent the first 10 years of her career as an emergency nurse before transitioning into professional development and education, where she has continued to make a lasting impact for the past 8 years. As the Program Director for both the Emergency Nurse Residency and Fellowship Programs, her team secured funding for the emergency nurse residency program through hospital foundation grants for the first year and now the program is funded through the system educational department.
