Dr. Sharmine U Brassington PhD, RN

Sharmine Brassington is a PhD graduate of Rutgers University and is presently the Administrative Director for Emergency Services at Monmouth Medical Center. In her role as Administrative Director she is responsible for the daily operations of the department. She obtained her BSN degree from New Jersey City University and Master’s degree from Kean University, all in New Jersey. Sharmine is passionate about great outcomes for her patients, but also strongly believes that there needs to be a focus on the provider as well. Hence, her Dissertation research is focused on emergency department nurse staffing, practice environment support, workload and burnout.
