Dr. Shery Wachtel PhD, RN, CNS, CCRN

Dr Wachtel earned an ADN from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, followed by a BSN and MSN as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Critical Care with a Functional Minor in Nursing Education from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. She later completed her PhD in Nursing with a focus on Clinical Research at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. She has worked in large urban hospitals and healthcare systems for over 40 years, specializing in trauma, pre-hospital/flight, pulmonary and cardiovascular critical care, leadership, indigent healthcare, and research. She currently holds a position as an Assistant Professor at Eastern Washington University School of Nursing. Dr Wachtel's passion and goal in research is to leverage technology for real-time interpretation of the vast expanse of data nurses are responsible for continually interpreting in the clinical setting.
