Steve Weinman, MSc, RN, CEN, TCRN, NHDP-BC, EMT is Trauma Education and Injury Prevention Program Coordinator at St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Steve has over 38 years’ experience as an educator, author, emergency/trauma/prehospital clinician & emergency manager. In addition to his position at St. Joseph’s, he currently serves in leadership roles as Tactical EMS Program Coordinator for Somerset County NJ Office of Emergency Management and President of the Somerville Rescue Squad. Steve has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on emergency and trauma care. He serves as Trauma Section Editor and Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Emergency Nursing, Associate Editor for the Journal of Special Operations Medicine, and Peer Reviewer for multiple other medical journals. Steve has lectured nationally and internationally in emergency & trauma care, disaster/mass casualty response and preparedness, & prehospital medical care. Steve serves on numerous state and national committees on trauma care and has received numerous accolades for his outstanding contributions in trauma education, injury prevention, emergency medical serves and emergency management of small- and large-scale incidents.
