Dr. Vallire Hooper PhD, RN, CPAN, FASPAN, FAAN

Vallire Hooper PhD, RN, CPAN, FASPAN, FAAN is a Senior Nurse Scientist with Ascension, as well as the Co-Editor of the Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing. Dr. Hooper has been a nurse for over 35 years, with a primary research focus on patient outcomes research, to include instrument validation and performance. She is also interested in factors influencing nurse wellbeing, nursing workload, and patient care delivery, as well as factors influencing nurses’ intent to stay in the workforce. Dr. Hooper is a Fellow in the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses as well as the American Academy of Nursing.
